About Me

Hi! My name is Lorraine Veronica and I design many things. I'm a Children Photographer, greeting card designer, iPhone case designer, and I design Typography Art Prints. 

I'm Originally from Valencia, California, and now currently living in the Netherlands since 2008. I live with my husband Paul, and my two beautiful parrots. 

 My children photography and portraiture style is raw, nostalgic, and unrehearsed. My goal is to capture moments that often go unnoticed and are seen as ordinary. I love capturing children while they are doing whatever it is they love to do - being messy, playing dress up, or even being in a bad mood. I often do other forms of photography but my focus will always be on children lifestyle/portraiture. I opened my first shop "Mursblanc" on Etsy in June of 2010. It started off as a hobby and a way to earn some extra cash so that I could afford to fly home for Christmas. I didn't expect anything to happen but - everything happened! Since than I have opened  "HipsterCases" where you can find my designs on iPhone cases. HipsterCases was opened in May of 2012, and it's about embracing your inner hipster. Most recently "StrangerDays" was opened June of 2012. StrangerDays is a greeting card shop where you will find cards for emotional people. 

The names of my shops do have some meaning. Mursblanc means " white walls" in French. At the time I thought it was a beautiful name, and my art was going to cure the white walls syndrome! Now I think maybe I should have picked something with a bit more of a memorable tone - but it stuck and why change a good thing? Hipstercases is more straight forward. I wanted to create cases that were pretty, and hip. The name is catchy - don't you think? Lastly - StrangerDays. This name kind of fell into place without much thought. In life you have strange days. The end ;) 

HOW TO USE THIS BLOG

I started this blog in the hopes of making it easy for my customers, friends, and family to find me. I hope this blog will be a great main base that will help lead you to the areas of my life or the products you're looking for. If you're simply interested in my daily life than the main blog area is the place you want to be. If you're interested in my art and design - there are three tabs at the top of my blog that will lead to you those areas. If you want to get in touch - there is also a tab to send me an email.
